HR 42

There are two Hallberg-Rassy 42s, the  yacht built from 1980 to 1991 and this model, built from 1991 to 2001 and designed by Germán Frers.  181 were produced.

There are two versions of the current 42.  Until 1994 the Hallberg-Rassy 42 F MK I was built without the swim platform and without the current shape. Apart from the transom, the rest of the hull, sailplan and engine remained the same. 53 units were built of the MK I version: construction numbers 1-52 plus number 55.

The boat is delivered with a CE certificate and a CE plaquette for category A, unlimited ocean voyages

Other comments, plans, special notes: Elegast has push button sailing, generator and airco which is wonderful to have in the Med. It is the best investment of a lifetime counting the hours of pleasure and fun and pride of ownership.
We are considering the acquistion of an HR46 since we intend to spend more time quasi living on board.
We are a Dutch family and have fled our cold waters for the warm Mediterranean.
